Saints to Sinners 2011

Steve just participated in the Saints to Sinners bike race from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas. It was a 512 mile race over 28 hours to raise funds for 3 for 5, which is an organization that provides water to people around the world in need of this resource. Here is a video of the event: http://youtu.be/HupKNbchzxE

Springtime in Utah

The snow is melting, albeit slowly, and the sun is starting to shine more here in Utah. Spring has held on for a long time this year, but summer is right around the corner - it was 80 degrees yesterday! We've had a lot going on: Isaac is playing baseball, Mason and Kyla are being potty trained (50% success rate), Jessica is training for a half marathon, Steve is training for a bike race to LasVegas and we have a few road trips planned for the summer. We've added a few new pictures, so click on the picture link on the right side of this page.

New Year!

Time is flying! I can't believe its already February. We are doing really well and staying very busy somehow.

Isaac has recently really taken to skiing. All of a sudden things clicked for him and we are now
skiing along with him. It's a blast, but scary because he loves to go fast!
We have not done as much skiing as w
e would like, but are hoping to make it up the mountain again very soon. As long as its not as cold as its been in SLC the last few days. Single digits
at night, no thanks!
In February we are looking forward to visits from friends and family. We miss our friends at home in the Couve a lot, but feel so blessed by the friends we've made here. We have been fortunate to plug into an awesome church, which has helped us get connected to some really great people.
Kyla and Mason are officially the "terrible two year old twosome". They are constantly teaming up and getting into tr
ouble, but making us laugh all the while. Their personalities are really coming out and its so fun to see them grow.
I (Jess) have actually been doing a bit of crafty stuff lately. It's helping to fill a need that I have to be creative and its cheap entertainment too!
The picture of the wreath is something that I recently finished. It took way too long to do, but I have to finish what I start so there was no stopping. Here are a few pictures as of recently. We hope that everyone is doing well!

Isaac learned to ride his bike without training wheels. Steve held his seat for about 6 steps and then he just took off and rode for 10 minutes, then put his foot down and stopped like he had been riding for years. Our little guy is growing up so fast.

We have had a very fun and busy summer. Its been great to have friends and family visit and stay with us and has definitely helped ease the homesickness (is that a word?) for the northwest. A few weeks ago we took Isaac and went to Lake Powell with my dad, step mom, brother, girlfriend Erin, and some family friends. There were a lot of firsts for Isaac such as catching his first fish! We hiked and saw some pretty awesome scenery and did a lot of wake boarding and tubing. In fact, my elbow is still healing from where I rubbed the skin off trying to hang onto the tube so tight!
Steve has been traveling a lot for work lately, but has been fortunate to be able to play some golf while he's at it. Always nice! Since he's been so busy I just decided that we would have to tag along with him if we were going to see him much. So, recently we traveled with him to Boise where we left the kids with his family - hallelujah! Then, I went along with him to McCall, ID. What a beautiful place in an awesome setting. Since Steve worked in the daytime I got to have some quiet, peaceful time to myself just reading and checking out the town. I felt sooo lucky! We can't wait to go back sometime during the winter and check out Brundage ski resort.
We're glad the weather is finally changing and are looking forward to a nice fall!

First Summer in Utah

Brief Update:
We celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary in July, so we decided to spend a few days up in the mountains. The Knott's family and Papa and BonBon came to visit for a week, which was a lot of fun. We've had a very hot summer, which has helped us in growing a garden and increasing our chances of skin cancer. We've added some pics to the web album, so check them out. Hope all our friends and family are doing well.

The winter snow is melting, we have already had sunburns, and it looks like the temps will soon be in the 90's regularly. We have added some new photos to our web album - notice that there are two links for photos as we are going to start adding new pics to a picasa web album and eventually phase out the Flickr page. In the meantime, they will both work. Hope all our friends and family are doing well.
